Butterfly House Set to Reopen at Turtle Bay Exploration Park

Summer takes flight with Wings of Summer: Butterflies!, one of Turtle Bay Exploration Park’s most beloved and popular exhibits, on display May 4 through June 30, 2019.

During its eight-week run, Turtle Bay guests can delight in the delicate flutterings of these beautiful and important pollinators in a tranquil, enclosed garden within Wildlife Woods. The butterfly house features up to 32 different species of butterflies found throughout the United States. Each arrives as chrysalis and will eclose (emerge) within the exhibit. Guests can witness this magical experience as butterflies come out, dry their wings and take flight. Guests can also release their own emerging butterfly for $1 per person, when chrysalises are available.

Wings of Summer: Butterflies! is presented by Rick and Kandi Barnett and is available daily, May 4 through June, 30, 2019. Operating hours for this exhibit are Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Access is free for Turtle Bay Members or included with Park admission ($12-16). Learn more at turtlebay.org/butterflies.
