Lassen Park is Looking Like a Winter Paradise Right Now

As the clouds clear on the rare September snowstorm that swept through Northern California this week, the mountains are already looking in winter form. And no mountain may have received more snow than Lassen Peak in the Lassen Volcanic National Park, which the webcams currently show covered in beautiful powder.

Snowfall has been prevalent throughout the park in recent days:

But the major storm that passed through on Sunday night brought more than a foot of snow to Lassen Peak. The webcams show the park already looking like it’s winter in NorCal:

What a crazy storm for September! Needless to say, if you were planning to visit Lassen in the upcoming weeks, prepare for winter conditions. Obviously, it’s hard to determine if these storms will continue or if this was just a freak weather occurrence, but it’s always prudent to check the Lassen webcams before visiting.
