NorCal Destination Makes Outside Magazine’s List of ‘Best Campsites in the U.S.’

When it comes to some of the best camping in the United States, Outside Magazine knows its stuff. That’s why it’s no surprise that they listed a Far Northern California destination in their list of The Best Campsites in the U.S.

The list separates the country into four sections – East Coast, Midwest, Mountain West and West Coast. In the West Coast, it listed the Mill Creek Campground in the Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park the best redwood camping in the country. Here’s what they said about the beautiful campsite:

The crowds might flock to Redwoods National Park proper, but those in the know pitch a tent in this state park campground 20 miles to the north, which has sites tucked into a dense forest of ferns, towering old-growth redwoods, and boulder-size stumps. And you have Northern California’s rugged coast right out your tent flap.
