Redding Garden of Lights Shines as One of the Best Light Displays in the Nation

The Redding Garden of Lights at Turtle Bay Exploration Park has earned a spot as the #7 Best Botanical Garden Holiday Lights Display in the nation, according to USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

“We are honored to receive this recognition on a national level,” said Lindsay Myers, President
and CEO of Turtle Bay Exploration Park. “This award celebrates not just the hard work of our
team but also the incredible support of our community and visitors who make this event so
special year after year.”

The display dazzles visitors with over two million lights spread across ten acres in the McConnell Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. New highlights this year include the Enchanted Forest, featuring suspended chandeliers, and the whimsical Peppermint Portal. Returning favorites like the Glowing Swings, Prismatic Pollinators, and Model Train Town bring familiar joy to visitors each season.

Designed by leading botanical display expert Tres Fromme, the Redding Garden of Lights emphasizes the natural shapes and textures of the garden’s trees and plants. Wildlife-inspired installations and carefully placed lights create a unique, immersive experience.

The 5th Annual Redding Garden of Lights is open now through January 5. For tickets and event information, visit reddinggardenoflights.org. Enjoy the holiday season in a glow that truly reflects the natural beauty of Northern California.
