The Largest Corn Maze in the World Sits Right Here in Northern California

In Dixon, California sits a 63-acre fall utopia with a pumpkin patch, hay rides and the largest corn maze in the world. It’s such a popular place for Northern California locals, it’s been recognized as one of the 25 best in the United States.

Cool Patch Pumpkins is known as the largest corn maze in the world, making it one of the premier destinations in NorCal this fall season. The maze has holds the record for the largest cycle of continuous paths, making it very difficult to find your way out. Opening from September 24 through Halloween this year, Cool Patch Pumpkins is a can’t-miss experience for the whole family.

Sitting on Highway 80 between Davis and Vacaville, Cool Patch Pumpkins was established in 2001 and its corn maze has been certified by Guinness World Records as having the World’s Largest Corn Maze. The maze is a creation of brothers Matt and Mark Cooley, who have been building the maze every fall since 2013. Every year the patch has a new design and maze to keep people guessing. And every year, people have difficulty finding their way out.

It’s unknown what the design of the corn maze will be this year, but it’s been pretty stunning in the past, including designs dedicated to the Sacramento Kings and first responders.

Navigating through the world’s largest corn maze will cost you $20 (kids under 5 are free). Other activities include hay rides, pedal cars and a corn bath. To learn more about this great fall destination in NorCal, go here.
