Chico’s Burger Hut Chosen to Receive Support Through Barstool Fund

Barstool Sports is making waves across the country with their Barstool Fund, a program helping small businesses during the pandemic through financial assistance. The program has received support from A-List celebrities like NorCal locals Guy Fieri and Aaron Rodgers, growing to more than $26 million in donations.

Today, Aaron Rodgers and Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy contacted the popular Chico restaurant Burger Hut to announce they have been selected for the fund.

On the call with the owners of Burger Hut, Portnoy mentioned that it was Rodger’s “favorite burger joint.”

The Barstool Fund contributes ongoing financial assistance to small businesses suffering due to the pandemic. According to Portnoy, they’re “doing what the government hasn’t.”

On top of the ongoing financial assistance provided to Burger Hut, people can choose to donate directly to them through the Barstool Fund. You can also buy merchandise with portions going to the restaurant.

Burger Hut is a popular eatery in Chico, known to fill up college student’s bellies with their giant burgers. Today, it looks like they have the assistance they need to make it through the pandemic.
